Our MSS Standard Series of security contacts is ideal for low to medium-security settings like retail, industrial and residential spaces, offering protection against defeat methods such as magnetic tampering.
For higher-risk environments, including bank, airports and data centers, the HS Series is listed to UL 634 Level 1. Made with our award winning Magnasphere balanced switches, the contacts are resistant to magnetic, mechanical and pry tampering or defeat.
The HSS Series delivers the highest security, meeting UL 634 Level 2 standards. It is used in high-security applications such as Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities and secure government and military facilities. These contacts have advanced features to protect critical infrastructure and sensitive areas.

Our patented technology addresses the well-known problems of traditional reed switches, namely vulnerability to defeat and tampering. Reed switches can be defeated by a simple magnet, are vulnerable to fusing from lightning or power surges, and are constructed from fragile glass. Our all-metal switch is anti-defeat, won’t fuse and doesn’t break. This makes it more secure, reliable and durable in any security application.
Panic Switches
The MK-3045 fixed panic switch is available with lead or terminal connections and is a critical security and life safety device. It can be discreetly mounted under desks, counters, or in freezers, ensuring easy activation in environments where people and property may be at risk.

How is Magnasphere different from all the other door contact manufacturers?
Every door contact manufacturer except Magnasphere uses an antiquated switch that was invented in 1937. The reed switch breaks easily, is easy to bypass and defeat, and fuses from lightening power surges. Magnasphere uses our award-winning Magnasphere switch. Our technology is anti-defeat, doesn’t fuse and doesn’t break.
Does Magnasphere manufacture typical recessed contacts like Sentrol did?
Yes, Magnasphere manufactures a complete line of recessed door contacts – all made with our anti-defeat Magnasphere switch. We have 3/8” pressfit, 3/4” single and double switch contacts and our one inch recessed contact is available in 1, 2, or 3 switches. Our recessed 3/” and 1” contacts are available in black, white, brown and gray.
Can I install a Magnasphere contact on a fire rated door?
Magnasphere has several models that have been listed to UL-10C. This rigorous standard allows our fire listed contact to be installed on fire rated doors. Look for the FIRE suffix to be sure the contact is UL-10C listed.
Does Magnasphere have brackets available for garage and overhead doors?
Magnasphere has many different brackets to meet the installation requirements installers face on job sites. From L and Z brackets to adjustable brackets and rail mount brackets, Magnasphere has a wide variety of door brackets to meet your needs.
