FALSE ALARMS: The BMS Reed Switch

THE REED SWITCH BMS CONTACT MUST BE INSTALLED with the actuating magnet set a minimum mandated distance. As a result, damaged or loose fitting doors may cause false alarms when the contacts get out of alignment and violate the mandated minimum air gap requirement. MAGNASPHERE’s high security switch technology does not require a minimum distance between the sensor and actuation magnet.
